Milestones Management

  • Contractual Milestones:
    • Project Initiation: Formal commencement of the project.
    • Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC): Interim approval upon partial completion.
    • Project Completion: Finalization of construction activities.
    • Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC): Final approval after complete project delivery.
  • Control and Intermediate Milestones:
    • Engineering Completion: Finalizing all engineering designs and plans.
    • Procurement Completion: Securing all necessary materials and equipment.
    • Construction Completion: Completing all construction-related activities.

General Activities

  • Documentation:
    • Submission of organization charts, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plans, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, and project baseline schedules.
  • Mobilization:
    • Establishment of site offices and temporary facilities to support project activities.
  • Permits and NOCs:
    • Obtaining necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and permits required for construction.
  • Vendor Prequalification:
    • Evaluating and approving vendors to ensure they meet project standards and requirements.
  • Method Statements:
    • Developing and approving detailed method statements for various construction tasks to ensure safety and quality.

Design and Engineering

  • Studies and Surveys:
    • Conducting comprehensive surveys and studies to determine the optimal route and engineering requirements.
  • Material Submittals and Approvals:
    • Submitting specifications and samples of conductors, insulators, and hardware fittings for approval.
  • Route Planning:
    • Developing and approving detailed route plans, including tower schedules and profiles.
  • Detailed Engineering:
    • Performing sag and tension calculations, and finalizing detailed engineering designs for tower placement and conductor installation.

Procurement

  • Foreign Supply Management:
    • Procuring critical materials such as ACSS Dove conductors, composite insulators, and hardware fittings from international suppliers.
  • Procurement Activities:
    • Managing the entire procurement lifecycle, including purchase order releases, manufacturing clearances, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), inspections, and shipping arrangements across multiple procurement lots.

Construction

  • Conductor Preparation and Replacement:
    • Mobilization: Deploying tools, manpower, and scaffolding required for construction.
    • Shifting and Dismantling: Moving conductor drums, insulators, and dismantling existing conductors.
    • Installation Activities: Hoisting insulators, paying out pilot wires and conductors, sagging, clipping, spacering, jumpering, and energizing the transmission lines.
    • Quality Assurance: Ensuring all installation activities adhere to safety and quality standards.
    • Handover: Transferring completed materials and infrastructure to the transmission company (Transco).

Project Close-Out

  • PAC (Provisional Acceptance Certificate):
    • Submitting as-built documentation and obtaining interim project approval.
  • FAC (Final Acceptance Certificate):
    • Completing all project activities and securing final project approval and acceptance.
